Tarangire National park

Tarangire National Park lies south of Masai ecosystem about 139 km from Arusha town through the great northern highway road. The Park covers an area of about 2,642 sq km and it is the fifth largest National Park in Tanzania.
Tarangire National Park is reputed for its massive herds of elephant entertaining visitors by their habit of browsing & debarking trees. Other animals to be seen include herds of wildebeest, zebra, warthogs, giraffe, gazelles, impala, lion & hyenas, cheetahs & the ever-elusive leopard which sometimes needs trained eye to spot. The three rare species of Great Kudu, Frienged-Eared Oryx & the Ash staling are inhabit this park. The Park is home to thousands of birds, over 400 bird species have been recorded including the rare & migratory one.

You leave Arusha after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely away. The Rift Valley landscape drifts past as your guide heads for Tarangire National Park, our two-hour drive will take us the 120km to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s real treasures. You spend as much time as possible at the park, marveling at all its wonderful wildlife with the assistance and expert knowledge of your Seven wonders safari driver-guide. Tarangire National Park is home to one of the largest herds of elephants, with other sightings including lion, impala, water bucks, baboons, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, warthogs and a host of bird’s species with a dramatic landscape to look forward to. You will have time to enjoy your picnic, included as part of your day tour. At 16.00, we set off from the park to reach Arusha by 18:00 hours and you will be dropped at your accommodation or place of residence.
